Wrap-PUPP 2027 proposals

Wrap-PUPP: Shaping the future of academic integrity in Education

Call for proposals

The Partnership on University Plagiarism Prevention (PUPP) will host a conference titled Wrap-PUPP that will be held in Quebec City (Canada) from October 27th to 29th 2027. The event will bring together international researchers and practitioners interested in “Shaping the future of academic integrity in education.”  The planning committee is currently accepting proposals for individual and group presentations and workshops, in English or in French, from faculty members, librarians, support staff, administrators, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students.

Academic integrity is the commitment to acting honestly, responsibly, fairly and ethically in all scholarly activities, including learning, teaching and research. From the beginning of our international research project, the Partnership on University Plagiarism Prevention (PUPP), we sought to understand how students and teachers use different strategies to prevent plagiarism. Given the onset of artificial intelligence tools, we also focused on how this new technology can be used with integrity in academic environments. As new technologies continue to evolve rapidly, so does the theoretical definition and practical application of academic integrity. It is therefore essential to continue raising questions, such as: How to promote values associated with academic integrity when teaching in higher education? How to prevent students from plagiarism to ensure optimal learning is taking place? How to conduct research ethically to develop new knowledge in everchanging academic environments?

As we reach the end of our research project, after seven years of working together, we are pleased to organize this last conference to share their results and exchange with stakeholders from all education levels (elementary, secondary, college, and university) to help build a future promoting academic integrity and fostering technological progress.

To create opportunities for engaging discussions and valuable networking the event will be held in person only.
